Introduction:

Our Client’s offering includes a reference Man Machine Interface, built on top of Client Framework, enabling Client’s customer to rapidly develop a complete mobile phone based on Client Framework.

It contains typically a set of applications developed in house, as well as a set of 3rd party pre-integrated applications; and can easily be extended and customized to create a complete mobile phone.

Our Client is looking for software architect who will participate to the team defining and delivering this product. As a member of MMI team, you will participate to the definition, architecture and design of Client MMI, along the entire lifecycle (software architecture, module design, module development, unit test, integration, system test, maintenance).

                                                                                                                                            

Description:

Our Client is developing a MMI offering for mobile phones, on top of its embedded application framework. In this context, Client is looking for MMI software developers for wireless handset devices.

The developer responsibility will be to define, develop, integrate and maintain a certain number of modules of the Client MMI.

His/her responsibility will especially include:

The developments will be performed first in a PC environment and will then be ported and tested on reference hardware platforms.

                                                                                                                                            

Skills:

·         experience as a software developer in the mobile phone MMI software  industry, The candidate will ideally have previous experience with a mobile phone manufacturer, mobile phone design house or mobile phone software application vendor

·         Very good knowledge about C/C++ programming on embedded/real-time systems

·         Good knowledge about graphical toolkit (such as GTK),POSIX APIs

·         Used to rigorous development methodology (usage of configuration management system such as CVS or Clearcase, bug tracking tools such as Bugzilla, Purifier…)

·         Result minded, Autonomous and rigorous, Creative and motivated in a dynamic environment

·         Good knowledge about wireless communication is a plus (GSM/GPRS/UMTS architecture and services)

·         Good knowledge about SMS, EMS, MMS, SAT is a plus

·         Good knowledge about Visual .Net is a plus

·         Knowledge of any of the following mobile phone software framework is a plus: Qualcomm  BREW, TTPCom Ajar, Trolltech QTOPIA, Obigo Mobile Suite Framework, other …

·         Knowledge of any of the following high-level mobile phone OS is a plus: Embedded Linux, Symbian, PalmOS, Windows Mobile, other …

·         Previous experience in multinational, startup environment is a plus

                                                                                                                                            

Degree: Sofwtare Engineering degree or equivalent

Experience: Minimum 2 to 5 years
