Introduction:

Our Client’s offering includes a reference Man Machine Interface, built on top of Client Framework, enabling Client’s customer to rapidly develop a complete mobile phone based on Client Framework.

It contains typically a set of applications developed in house, as well as a set of 3rd party pre-integrated applications; and can easily be extended and customized to create a complete mobile phone.

Our Client is looking for software architect who will participate to the team defining and delivering this product. As a member of MMI team, you will participate to the definition, architecture and design of Client MMI, along the entire lifecycle (software architecture, module design, module development, unit test, integration, system test, maintenance).

                                                                                                                                            

Description:

·         Architecture activity: Studies, software architecture for new features, participation to the definition of the functional specification and design of Client MMI modules, Participation to definition of 3rd parties applications porting and integration architecture, Participation to definition, architecture and design activity of Client Framework

·         Development activity: Technical follow up on internal development of those modules, Technical follow-up of 3rd parties applications integration (integration can be internal or external), Technical follow up of outsourced development, Follow-up of validation activity on PC environment and reference hardware platforms (test plan definition and review, test activity follow-up), Possibly development of some modules

·         Maintenance activity: Ownership of the product’s quality, Provide monitoring information to the management.

·         The role reports to the Solution Development Director.

                                                                                                                                            

Skills:

·         experience as a software developer and software architect in the embedded software  industry, Previous experience with a mobile phone manufacturer, mobile phone design house or mobile phone software application vendor as a software developer or architect is mandatory

·         Very good knowledge about C/C++ programming on real-time systems

·         Very good knowledge about wireless communication (GSM/GPRS/UMTS architecture and services)

·         Very good knowledge of MMI on embedded devices, especially mobile phones

·         Knowledge of complete mobile phone software architecture

·         Knowledge of mobile phone validation and certification process

·         Configuration management and bug tracking tools

·         Result minded, autonomous and rigorous, Creative and motivated in a dynamic environment, Interest on new technologies

·         Knowledge of any of the following mobile phone software frameworks is a plus: Qualcomm  BREW, TTPCom Ajar, Obigo Mobile Suite Framework

·         Knowledge of any of the following Smartphone software frameworks is a plus: Embedded Linux, Trolltech QTOPIA, Symbian and S60, PalmOS, Windows Mobile, etc.

·         Previous experience in multinational, startup environment is a plus

                                                                                                                                            

Degree: Sofwtare Engineering degree or equivalent

Experience: Minimum 5 to 10 years
