Introduction:

Our client’s offering includes a unique framework, enabling rapid development, integration and deployment of portable applications for Mobile Phones. Once developed on the Framework, an application can run on any mobile phone device equipped with it. Moreover, thanks to the framework’s Core Technology, such applications are handled dynamically, enabling update of the mobile phone software over the air.

Our client is looking for an experienced software engineer who will participate to the team delivering this Framework, focusing on the low-level / hardware related parts. As a member of the Framework team, you will participate to the development and integration of this Framework, along the entire lifecycle (software architecture, module design, module development, unit test, integration, system test, maintenance).

 

                                                                                                                                            

Description:

·         Architecture activity: Involved in studies and prototyping of new features

·         Development and integration of Client Embedded Framework: Participation to the definition of the functional specification and architecture of embedded software modules, Development and testing of those modules, in Client reference hardware platforms, Integration of those module on the hardware platforms

·         Maintenance activity: Ownership of a part of the product, low-level layers

·         The role reports to the Embedded SW team leader

                                                                                                                                            

Skills:

·         Experience as a software developer in the mobile phone industry, or an industry involving constrained environments (ex: Embedded / Real Time, low memory, CAO, CPU/RAM intensive applications)

·         Good knowledge about C/C++ programming skills

·         Configuration management and bug tracking tools

·         Result minded, autonomous and rigorous, Curious and fast learning, Creative and motivated in a dynamic environment

·         Good knowledge of some mobile phone hardware / low-level software platforms (ex: Texas Instruments or NXP Semiconductors) is a plus

·         Experience on some mobile phone or Smartphone Frameworks is a plus (Symbian / S60, Windows Mobile, Qualcomm BREW, TTPCom Ajar, OpenWave, Obigo Mobile Suite Framework, Embedded Linux, Trolltech Qt and QTOPIA, PalmOS, etc)

·         Mobility standards and services experience is a plus

·         Graphic / Multimedia experience, especially at hardware / low-level software level is a plus

·         Previous experience on Linux platforms is a plus

·         Previous experience in multinational, startup environment is a plus

                                                                                                                                            

Degree: Sofwtare Engineering degree or equivalent

Experience: Minimum 2 to 5 years
