Job title: Analog Mixed-signal designer (Power Management, SC)

Job type: Contract

Duration: 3 month, renewable

Introduction:

As part of the Hi-Tech sub-micron Design Team, you will be engaged in understanding Systems Architecture and implementing Analog IC Designs and simulations for Mobile systems.

Examples of such IPs are : Power Management Chips comprising of High Efficiency Buck and Boost DCDC Converters, very low quiescent current LDOs, very low current reference and internal startup circuits, High Current Charge Pumps, Audio Linear and all with Digital Interfacing and Controls.

Description:

• Work with Mobile Systems group to understand the product requirements
• Understand IC Specifications based on the product needs.
• Develop Block Level IC diagrams
• Design and Simulate (with and without parasitic extraction) all IC functions.
• Ensure simulations show compliance to IC Design Spec.
• Supervise IC Layout, ensuring parasitics and component matching do not affect specification compliance.
• Support Chip Level Verification and assure Testability (Design For Test, DFT)
• Support Test Development and Manufacturing and transfer to production
• Support development of new IC process technologies

Skills:

· Ideally, the candidate will have a Mixed-Signal background, with Analog emphasis, minimum of 5 years of related IC Design experience.

· Knowledge of Cellular Systems and other Mobile Power Management Block and the relationship with CMOS technologies.

· An understanding of IC sub-micron MOS fabrication processes and the ability to learn of and to translate new technologies into real world designs is essential.

· A working knowledge of IC Design Tools, such as Cadence IC Design Environment, SPICE, Nanosim and Behavioural models is a must.

· Familiarity with Digital Flows is advantageous.

· Good analytic skills and Lab experience is required.

· The candidate must have good communication skills and be available for overseas travel and perform well in a cross-functional, cross-cultural team environment.

Degree: Microelectronics or Software degree or equivalent

Experience: Minimum 5 years
